    ECC registered memory

I have read that registered 72 bit ECC memory is more "reliable" than the 64 bit unregistered non-ECC. Do they necessarily overclock better because of this?

They tend to overclock worse. Actually, I wouldn't recommend ECC RAM to anyone unless running in a business server environment. IIRC, ECC RAM modules are also a tad bit slower than non-ECC RAM in terms of performance, but I'm not too positive..

    figured...

Ah well, I need to switch them out sooner or later. Wanna go 166 FSB soon but my present board can't handle that. Looks like my next upgrades will necessarily be expensive...
