3.5" Floppy Drive won't read
Slot I Chaintech 6ata2 motherboard. Cannot get the A: drive to read anything. It won't even boot to the A: drive with a clean system disk. System runs fine as long as I don't try the A: drive.
All cables and connections are in place. CMOS setup detects the A: drive. WinME system detects the floppy controller. SysInfo shows no conflicts - everything should work - but hit the enter button and the drive lights up, but the system freezes with the light on. Even bought a new 3.5" drive...but same results.
Am I missing something in CMOS? Bad floppy controller despite what the diagnostics say? Suggestions?
