    Question Cooling Questions?

How many fans do you need in a case?

What is a good inexpensive fan for a AMD2200XP?

    I would say:

    1 intake
    1 exhaust
    1 CPU fan
    1 power supply fan
and 1 video card fan if required.

I would suggest looking at Panaflo fans and Enermax adjustable fans. If this is for the CPU fan, you need to know if your heatsink is 60mm or 80mm (those are the two most popular sizes).

The 2200+ (rev A) runs a bit hotter than the older AthlonXPs. You could try a Vocano 6Cu, but if you can scroung up about $38 (shipped), then you can get the Thermalright AX-7 ($23) with a tri-color 80mm fan ($10). It will run VERY quiet and give you very good temps. You can get then here:

If you do not have a window kit to show it off with they have them for about $7 (back-ordered right now though) and cool tri-colored cold cathode light for $16.

Forgot. The Vocano 6Cu looks like this:

It has a large copper slug on the bottom and the fan is not too loud (the V6 Cu+ is MUCH louder). It cools pretty good and only costs $11 +$6 shipping here:

I really recommend spending a little extra for some good cooling and make your computer look cool at the same time. Best Byte that I mension in the post above has other non-lighted 80mm case fans for $3 or less.
