Hi All. Just installed and ran renegade for the first time after putting my pc back together again.

My old but trusty 1gig Athlon

Got all the latest drivers,ran the game once and saved.Whent to go back on it and got the old error message.Phoned EA checked everything over with them, they were happy things were ok with my computer. Uninstalled and installed the game a couple of times,managed to get it going again, got through about four missions in the game and saved, whent to play it the following night and guess wot? the message is as follows.

They say it could be a software thing and to send it back,where as the reply from a friend of mine (Alien) says this.This game has just fuct your computer up, best regards the Microsoft Mob. I have no conflicts on the pc, no programs running in the background,have tried swithcing off dma on the cd-rom.

Would be glad of any advice
