I have been playing Diablo II and Diablo II Lord of Destruction for quite a while now... and yes I own legal copies,,,, but my LOD disk is starting to get scratches on it, and I would like to make a copy so that I can work from the copy and not worry about it..... Unfortunately so far, it says copied successfully but the disks are not recognized when I try to play ..... Any suggestions? Or am I doomed to buy a new disk if this one gets a critical scratch? TIA!

but keep in mind ive only ever done this with a music cd.

ive never tried it with anything more compact (dvd , game, etc).

and there is the mythical (?) "cd doctor".

its supposed to fix scratched cd's.


furthermore.......
alot of video stores can fix cd's for you for like 3$.

most have scratch removers of some kind because of the dvd's they rent out.

Thanks PuterTutor..... I finally got it, and it works great... took some doing to find an uncompromised copy tho,, lol... apparently alotta young'uns think its a great place to plant their lil trojan seeds. Preciate the input ..... And thanks to you too Heks.. but Im not prepared to test your theory I am not even severely worried about IF I do have to replace it,,, it bugs me more that something I bought legally (which you know since I bought yours too Heks,.... lol) wont LET me use a backup. But now,, Problem solved and Im happy
