usually only with the components needed to start a computer, mobo, psu, heatsink and hard drive/floppy drive/video card, RAM sometimes just a motherboard inside, varies on the seller really what they define as barebones.

By the way, what does BTW stand for?

It is better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

There are no universal standard as to barebone.
Each vendor has their own idea as to what is considered barebone.

No. Most do not include hard drives, CPU and memory. A lot are just case, motherboard with lots of integrated componants (sound, NIC, video, USB...), and floppy. CD-ROMs are sometimes included, as are keyboard, mice, and speakers.

Those are normally called Motherboard combos or something liek that. Barebones normally do not have the CPU and memory.
