    Serious Sam SE...is INSANE!!

well, I borrowed the game from a friend of mine just to see if it was as fast as the first one.

...boy this game was insane....mindless, but fun and insane! eventually had to use God mode. has anyone finished this game without cheat codes on Normal difficulty? is it possible?

    BTW. ran the game with

    Radeon 8500
    Athlon XP 1700+
    Epox 8kha+
    512 MB PC2100
    *nothing overclocked

    1024 x 768
    32-bit
    Omegatonium Drivers X.71
    *all eye candy on

game ran flawlessly, with minor hiccups on the end casue the video card was getting too hot!

I beat the game with no cheat codes on normal difficulty. It's definitely possible.

    Hint: quicksave/quickload is your friend

Nice drivers. If they don't work for you, the official 6071's (on which they are based) are also excellent.

Yeah...it's just when I got to the latter stages, where every end of a door seemed to be an arena that I gave up. looking at the quick save number...I quick saved over 451 times.

    pdemitra3883:

yeah if these don't work well for you, try the 6071 as MuFu said.

You can also get the Omegatonium at
    http://www.zardonthemystic.com/redsoftware/

    and the 6071 at rage3d.com

one more thing. the graphics on this game were excellent IMO. the lighting coming from the sun, and the Elephant Atrium looked incredible on the Radeon.

Definely possible, I passed that game on HARD difficultly without using one cheat ever, did the same with the FE. Great challenging game but as you noted rather mindless.

I think i quick saved hmmmm over 2000 times. lol

I really didn't think it was that hard on normal level. Of course, I'd played it through about 10 times on Multiplayer before beating it on single player- so I knew what to expect and where all the secret powerups were (i.e., bombs, invincibility, etc).
