gaming with Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse

i'm having serious slow/bad responses when playing counter strike, as if the keyboard and mouse cant operate at the same time.

for example, pressing a(to move left) and pressing shoot(left click with mouse). What will happen is that it'll keep moving left and shooting for 4-5secs even when i'm not pressing any keys or clicks.

my guess is that is this a problem with first person shooting game?
because playing 2D games like Tiberian Sun is acceptable.

i have updated the drivers, and tried both receive channels with the mouse.

my frds suggested that USB mouse is like that. PS/2 mouse is better with it.

Anyone got any solutions to my problem?
Is there a USB to PS/2 converter?will that work?

well maybe its something else... like lag or bad connection to the server or something..

Nope, its the mouse.I've experienced very slow response rate for FPS games. I'm switching back to my Intellimouse Explorer.

check this out .. really good site IMO .. but he mentions something about a momentary lag ..bad for campers and what not but he did mention moving the mouse speed up in quake III

there definitely is a lag on the wireless.

I experience it on my work computer. I read about this lag on some early reviews, which also said that this mouse is no good for gaming (because of the lag)...but its nice on a work desk

the new Intellimouse Explorer Optical is what I use for gaming. no problems whatsoever.
