    I have experienced the following:

All games that worked for me under Win2K work fine on XP. Also I installed some older Dreamcatcher games, and a couple of Star Wars games that I could never get running under 2000, and they run great as well. So (I have no proof as to what I am about to say but) I think 90% of games will probably run under XP unless they are really old.
    AMD 1.4GHz (266 FSB)
    512 MB PC2100 DDR
    ABIT KG7
    45GB ATA100 Maxtor
    3D Prophet GTS 64
    Creative Labs 128
    Dell 20" Trinitron

    Hey everyone,

While we are on the subject, my friend just purchased a new computer with Windows XP home edition on it. However, he hasn't been able to get "Black and White" running. He mentioned something about an error message when he tries to run the program. The error states that some files are running in the NT kernel. He has tried all the different compatability modes but to no avail. Has anyone lese heard of this problem before and is there a way to fix it? Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

some will require a patch to run.

    works:
    max payne
    half life
    opposing force
    quake III
    alone in the dark 4
    dues x

wont work: Red alert Command & Conquer...their web site has a patch that will let it run..but you cant do internet play even with the patch.
