I'm quite pissed off whenever the "beta directdraw BS expired blah blah" pops up on the screen.
Or any ideas on how to uninstall this beta and replacing with a previous version of dx?

Well tempting but I can't because I have to monitor files by the date they were made and it will make my OS messy.
I've heard that there are certain softwares that can do just that but I need feedback before I resort to it

Let me get this straight, they only want you to use the Beta varsion for a short period, but they wont let you remove it and replace it with an earlier version? only Microshaft would even think of doing that sort of thing with a free API!

True. I had a dx8 beta and that pop up crap went bugging me, I formatted my HD just to get rid of it (But THAT is not an option right now). Why do M$ just make an uninstaller of dx? Just even for the beta?
Any idea on when M$ will release the final latest version of dx?

But I think there's no need for me to DL it anymore because I reinstalled my win98SE over the current and guess what, it reverted back to dx6.1!
But I'm the type of guy who likes to try anything for the love of tweaking, so I'll DL it still hehehe
