System wont boot with new video card

Hi i just purchased a visontek xtasy geforce2 MX200 32mb pci video card. I installed it properlly(seated fine)and then tried to boot the system. It did post,and it read the 32mb of video ram, but after the ibm post screen dissapears and the rest of the boot proccess is suppose to take place it just stops, with a black screen and the little white cursor blinking in the top left hand corner, no beeps and i cant access the setup utility.I can run the system fine without the card.here are my system specs
Ibm Aptiva 2176-C66
48mb ram(16 more on the way)
20gb Maxtor HD
Powerleap K6-III @400MHZ
10/100 PCI NIC
Intel 430VX chipset
Win95a
bios date is 2/10/99
version under bios is BSTUS41
I cant find what mobo i have,all i know is that its a socket 7.

I Disabled My onboard ATI graphix through the control panel but the system still did not boot.I'm all out of ideas, thanx for any help!

there's an option in most BIOSes that says "init display... agp or pci video card"
try switching that (if you cant with your geoforce card, then take it out and from ATI's toogle that option)
