Not somewhere I have visited often but have used them a couple of times.
Its always a shame when a good old reliable site goes down. Kinda like losing touch with an old friend.

Yeah from what I read at 3dspotlight.com, tweakfiles is gone soon.
The money that they get from ad banners has diminished as the banners aren't worth as much as they used to be. I think a spate of site deaths are on the books

Losing tweakfiles is like losing an old friend. Whilst I have always used the site regularly, I am nostalgic about it too. I first came across it not long after getting my first computer. I have great memories of mid 1999 when I was starting to play around with home PCs (as opposed to work PCs!) - going to this site, pulling down files, playing with them - and learning!

All these internet companies shutting down... I can't believe how corporations in this industry just come and go.

That's why I don't believe in little utilities people run so banners and ads and whatnot don't pop up on their screen.

Advertising is the economy of the internet and the reason we can get so much cool stuff for free.

I'm gonna click on that annoying 'jobs.internet.com' banner next to this message after I post, cuz I'd hate to see this board go too.
