    Mobo/CPU/video upgrades

Looking to upgrade my current system with Tbird 1ghz or higher and a Geforce3.

Looking for opinions on mobos and brand of cards that use geforce.

Thanks - and yes, its for gaming

VisionTek's Geforce3 is one the better ones, first Geforce3 put out. Here's a review: http://www.hardocp.com/reviews/vidcards/visiontek/gf3/

Alot of people like the Iwill K266 mobo for their t-birds with the 266 FSB. ASUS and ABIT put out some other good boards.

Personally I went with an Asus K7M266 mobo and a Kyro II. It plays very nicely in higher resolutions.

Check out the FIC ad11 mobo. Supports up to 1.3 Ghz / 266 Mhz bus athlon processor, uses the AMD 760 chipset, has gotten good reviews for performance and stability, and you can get it for $109 from Newegg. Here are some reviews.

So far this board, combined with a 1200 / 266 t-bird, and 256 MB PC2100 ram, seems to give me a powerful and economical system. Right now I'm Running it with a 3d prophet 4500 card that i bought today.

so far, I expected way more from that card, it runs ut smoothly, but I'm having troubs getting the same performance in Q3.
