you are wrong! This game is awesome! Plug in the headphones, turn out the lights and get ready for one hell of a scary time. It's even creepier than System Shock 2. The sounds of doors slamming, Howlers howling and the ambient noises of the environment are so realistic that you'll swear you are acually in the game. I highly recommend this game. Without a doubt, the best FPS since Half Life.
Well, I would like to get it, but it's not in the shops yet ( March 15. here). There are only small numbers of US imports to be ordered online.
You lucky man, I wanna be frightened too!
The game uses the Unreal engine.
What vid card and cpu do you have?
And what sort of res and colour depth can you run in, while keeping good frames/sec?
The reason I ask is because Deus Ex uses the Unreal engine, but that thing ran like a dog on my system. Mainly cos I wanted to run at 1024x768x32 with all the goodies on.
And yet UT on my system can fly like a bloody rocket, and still look stunning!
I would agree that this game is worth buying! The sounds are by far the best of any game I have ever played! Babies crying in the room your in Kids playing in the background and when those creatures jump out, you know they are there! Lights out with surround sound up will give most anyone the creeps!
It requries Dirctx8 which I was real crazy about, Its a little slow down for me in 3dmark but nothing to get excited about.
I think the story line is great! My style of game! I personaly wouldnt rate the graphice better then Alice but I would say pretty dame close! Maybe because your in square rooms all the time, just seems to take a little away for me. That opinion may change tho, I'm not real far into it yet.
I definatly like the game tho and say go buy it!
I'm plenty smooth in FPS but cant offer #'s on them. 1280x1024 32b With my T'Bird 1000 @ 1198 And a Asus GTS clocked high too.
Anyone know how to get the FPS in this game?

If it's using the Unreal engine the graphics have to kick ***. I'm still stuck playing Unreal Tournament Game Of The Year edition, i'm addicted to it, perhaps the best game i've ever played, the online play is outstanding.
It does tax the system a bit, but I'm able to run 1024x768x32 and jack the framerate up to 60 fps and it runs pretty good. Great graphics. I have a 700e@1G, 256MB ram and a GTS @220/395. So there will be no prob with your setup. I strongly suggest a great set of headphones and waiting until dark to play. The sounds are really incredible.
Here is the main website. They have a bunch of QuikTime movies to d/l. I love some of the ways the enimies Kill you. One rips your head off and eats it anouther scewers you with a spear then holds your carcass up on it like a trophy . One has you killing an enemy with a skull spell and you can watch as the ground becomes saturated with his blood.
