We usually create forms in MS Word 97, print, then scan the forms into a .bmp. Is there any way to convert from .doc to a picture format (.bmp, .gif, or other) on the computer, avoiding the printing and the scanning? We use Office 97 with a Windows 95 OS.

Im not sure if you can do it as a bitmap, but this might work...
If you go on to save as, you can change type of thing you can save it as. I know that text is there as well as .doc
I think if you pasted it into a program like paint, that might work as well.

What do you use scanned form images for? What you could do is, if the form is one page, copy the entire form to the clipboard and do a paste special, picture and it will save the form as an image. We sometimes do that in our DTP dept if we need a quick and dirty image that we won't need to edit.
BTW, you can find this thread in the Software forum now.
