Saving game in Half-life

Ok heres the situation,

I've been playing halflife for about 3 months and I've gotten pretty far. I want to save how far I got onto another computer so I don't have to start from the beginning. How do I do that

Please, anyinfo would be appreciated

Backup the content of the folder <Installation directory>\Valve\SAVE and restore it to the new system.
Also backup the files *.cfg and settings.* (just to be sure) from <Installation directory>\Valve and restore them.
