Dues Ex control is sluggish...

I just got Dues Ex and the control on it seems sluggish. When I move the mouse it takes like half a second for the game to respond. I am not sure what the problem is, but if anyone knows, I'd be glad to find out.

did it work alright before? could be if you chose the wrong 3d rendering engine or something.. i know this happened to me once when i tried to run the game in 3dfx, which my card doesnt support. the game ran really really slow and there was a delay in response.
