    Half-Life LAN Connection trying to use modem?

    I have two computers at home connected by TCPIP, Both of them have modems. When I try connecting Half-Life by LAN it tries to use my modem, " What's up with that " ?

    It's trying to authenticate with the WON servers on the Internet. Just go to Control Panel|Internet|Connection and tell it never to dial a connection.
