Hey you guys whats best for me?

Ok right now I got the following. -600mhz Athlon, -128mb 100mhz RAM, -TNT2 Ultra 32mb vid card, - 20gb IBM 7,200RPM. I wanna know what the best upgrade for me would be. I am looking at about the $200-300 range. I wanta be ready for the next wave of FPS engines comin soon. Thnx

$200-$300 would be sufficient for a V5 5500 or a Geforce GTS.

Come to think of it, there aren't anything else.

Or you can spend $200 on a lower model GeForce and the rest on another stick of 128mb mem.

No to be offensive or anything but i was always told, and I have read many times that anything over 128mb RAM is a waste in games. I have no use for cading programs or anything of that type, but which would you say would be better in this machine, Voodoo or Geforce?

That's what they told you before D2. Now I think I am going to get another stick of 128 just so I can play D2 smoothly.

I say go for the V5. It has more features than a GF.

you might want to consider looking at the ATI radeon. they have a lot of features, more than the v5 and is faster than the v5 also. the downside is that it's not the fastest, the gts is, and they aren't know for their driver support.
