I'll still be using my existing Matrox G400 Max 32meg, and will be running Win2000 and an Iiyama 22" monitor.
Basicially I need to know what the latest kick-*** driving and flight-combat sims are. Not really interested in the type with 5000 page manuals and the 1001 keys-for-everything-before-you-even-start-the-engine type of games, so I prefer pick-up-and-play. Need something to really show the machine off and justufy the price?

Yep, Need for speed porsche unleashed is awesome. More addictive than crack!!! (well I'm kind of guessing on that one) I haven't bothered to buy a new game in years. After I tried the demo I bought it the next day!! Its a must have!! I never even liked driving games before nfs pu!!
I have Falcon 4.0 also. If you look at the manual it has about 500-600 pages and then , of course you should have the offical strategy guide[346 pages], and I saw at one gaming site, the overlay for the keyboard. Would send link, but lost all in reformat.Ohwell. Got to say it plays alot better on my Athy 700@ 850 and Raedon 64DDR, than it did on my old Cyrix 300 w/ STB Velocity 4400. Thought that was good for a laugh.

It might be old but Viper Racing is still one kickass driving game. Also get Midtown Madness 2 for sure fun.

Rally Championship is my fav. driving game.
Can't say the same for NFS-Porsche Unleashed, it is one of the worst IMO. All I can say is try out the demo before you buy.
As for easy flight sims, I can only remember Silent Thunder 2.

I still like NFS: 3 the best it's alittle old, but it was where IMO that the NFS series became the best next to Grand Turismo. Try Freespace 2 it maybe space flight, but it's one of the prettiest flight sims. I think it got flight sim of the year somewhere cause they came out with a flight sim of the year package, but I may be wrong, but it is a great game. I think he's trying to avoid a game like Falcon 4.0.
