open gl

i'am trying to play opposing force and it works fine in software mode but when i turn it to open gl with the mini 3dfx driver it crashes when i try to play. however it works ok for half life until i try to join an internet game then it freezes as the game is about to launch.
iam running a voodoo 3 3000 with the latest drivers, is perhaps mini gl a different driver i need to get, any help would be greatful.

and i use ping tool
o yea even in softwere mode when a level ends i have to exit game and re enter other wise it never goes by the loading screen

Hey WickedGL is just too fkn awsome... It got my games up with like 15-20 fps on my Voodoo 3 3000 PCI.

Opposing View:
I found that WickedGL killed about 5-7fps in Quake3. I also found that Half-Life ran the same as before.

WickedGL sucked for me, but it might work for you.

I agree WickedGl also slowed down Q3 for me.
