I'm still mystified as to why you keep on bringing up this No friends thing, (unless you have the guilty conscience?) If you haven't worked it out yet you can easily set up PC's in a LAN with network cards in the same house.
4 of my friends have DC and I have built 3 of them PC's recently because that is what we play on against each other........ Like I've said before, It is a Personal choice.
Me and my FRIENDS are going to have Lan parties, as soon as we all get network cards, and we'll all have our own monitors to look at, instead of all gathering around a Tv, and suffering 640x480 and split screen crap. That's what i think anyway. Like i said before what's the point in having a console, when, in my opinion, the Pc can do everything just as good, if not, better.
I still hope, when the PS2 is finally released world-wide and if this topic is still around by then, that new owners of the machine will add their comments, depending that is if there will be any new owners, anywhere ! DD.
Let me put it this way,
the last gaming console I had was the Sega Megadrive (also called Genesis). So I rather put my money and buy some descent computer parts than some Playstation2
------------------ Never mind the dog, beware of the owner.
You guys still can't comprehend the idea of playing games w/ your friends on couches and recliners in your living room as anything entertaining? It's seems simple to me.
You try and argue that point by saying that your going to have a LAN party or something. Well a LAN party is something that either takes up alot of space and money to keep setup permanently or alot of planning to have everyone bring there equipment (if they all have equipment).
While on the other hand if I have some friends sitting around in the living room I can simply say "You guys want to play some Madden?" turn the T.V. and Playstation on and we're there.
This is a fairly simple concept to understand. If you are incapable of understanding it at this point I can see why you don't have friends that want to stop by.

OK, sorry. I just read that you're only 13 in another post so you probably don't have free reign in the living room. Check in again when get your own place.
>>Will ps2 suck, Will ps2 eatsh*t,Will ps2 lick ***,Will ps2 be gay, i beleive all of these are yes. the ps2 is already outdated. also games on the pc are designed to be ran on many diferent specs not just the one (psx/ps2) so games will be harder to design on pc because it has a more varied syspec !<<
I bet your computer is state of the art. What state?

I know where Flavio is coming from and I know where Blade is coming from too. I don't think Blade would really NEED a PS2 since those games don't interest him. However, I DO love Tekken 3 Tag and it will look MUCH better than the arcade version! Also Madden 2001 will go either on my DC or PS2 (when it comes out). When you're 13 you have to pick one or the other but when your older you can have more toys and you don't have to choose. If you don't like the games on the consoles then obviously you don't need to get one, but if you like all kinds of games, some are just better played on PC and some better on a console. And for everyone *****ing about 640x480, try looking at a DVD movie on your TV and tell me how crappy 640x480 is! That is what consoles are striving to look like. So if a DVD can output picture quality to that extent, consoles will to in the future. As for me, after I get through playing RACER or UT on my LAN I go into my living room for some good ol' Blitz 2000 on my DC!
