Pc's are far superior to consoles, and always will be, why would i want a console when a pc will do everything twice as good, and i find most console games (especially N64 games) really childish. Pc's are the greatest, no contest.

I'm 13, and I hate Consoles especially Nintendo, when I was 5 I had a SNES and I thought it was amazing with games like doom and alien 3. Then in x-mas 96 I had my first PC and it was 'leet (for 96) and in 2k' I am starting to program in Visual Basic 6 which any console will never be able to do (run visual basic)

I love action games, adventure games, anime style RPG's games, and once in a great while a racing game or a sports game. There just isn't enough on the PC. I can also say there's not enough FPS, simulation and RTS games on consoles
(uh an added note: Quake 3 Arena, KISS Psycho Circus, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, and Soldier of Fortune are all coming to the Dremamcast with netplay options-wierd huh?)
For sheer choice I just go with consoles. Mario games, Metal Gear Solid, Kart Racing, 007, Resident Evil, Zelda, Chrono Cross, you can't beat these games. Then again I love games like Simcity 3000 Unlimited, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Theme Park, The Sims (as you can guess I really don't need to upgrade my PC much) and the occasional FPS like Half-Life. But the console offers more of what I like.
As for PC multi player, it's still cool. Who says that means you don't have friends? It just means that they're not in the same room as you. It's fun playing multi player in 007 but who hasn't wanted just once to play without split screen? If only you could have a console that ships with 3 extra 15 inch really thin LCD screens that draw power from the console. Wouldn't that be awesome!?!?!? The monitors would connect to the controller ports and the controllers would connect from the monitors. Of course that's impossible right now. Almost as impossible for a lot of people to hook up, what, like 8 PC's in their home? As for me I have both and I'll continue using both.
Oh yeah nice not about emulation. A lot of people are developing emulators for Dreamcast. Bleemcast as probably most of you have heard but others are coming into the scene.

Hey, If all you want to do is play games, the Console is a superior platform than the AVERAGE computer.
I just remember my kid complaining when I got him his first computer.
"My Playstation never crashes, how come my...doesn't work right with the .... etc..etc.etc.", and so on.
Now, will PS/2 have quadrophonic sound, 128-bit graphic processor, T&L Processor. I believe all of these are yes?
Will you ever have to blow away the OS and reload, I think not.
Now, I play Computer Games because there are so many good ones. The types of games I play don't lend themselves easily to a console game situation yet (multiplayer, RTS, and other features).

Unless you don't have any freinds, in that case stick w/ your PC only. There's nothing better than a 2 vs. 2 Football, Basketball, Hockey game played in your living room drinking beer with a few freinds. I like internet gaming too especially because I have freinds in many areas of the country. I would much rather have them over at my house if it was possible.
You know what it sucks to try and get four guys gathered around a 19" monitor on a desk, especially when there's very few games that even support 2 players on one computer.
What else are consoles good for?
They are cheaper or equivalent in cost to a new damn videocard for one. Can't upgrade them? Who the hell cares when they cost less than a GeForce2?
Fighting games. What's the best fighting game on the PC? Never mind, cause THEY ALL SUCK!
The best RPG's are on the consoles too. There's a few good ones on the PC, but they are all playing catchup to the likes of the Final Fantasy, Zelda, and Chrono Trigger.
How about light gun games? Which platform has better ones? Let me rephrase that to "NAME A LIGHTGUN GAME ON THE PC WHY DON"T YOU". Time Crisis, Point Blank, and House of the Dead are a blast to play.
Here's another one "Tony Hawk Pro Skater". That games is a blast! I can play it all day and it's a 5+ year old Playstation platform. You just can't get that game or anything like it for the PC.
How about gamepads? The Playstation Dual Shock gamepad outclasses every PC gamepad hands down. Microsoft Sidewinder pales in comparison. I have a Gravis Exterminator Analog and I would throw it right in the trash if my Playstation controller would work on my PC.
Here's another one: My 32" T.V. sure is nice when your hanging out gaming with some freinds to relax around a big old screen like that. How much are 32" computer monitors? I haven't checked lately.
How about those patches? You know how many patches I've downloaded for console games? Guess.
That's because the games are usually DONE, FINISHED, COMPLETE, when you hand over the money for them. there's one huge list of PC games that hit storeshelves not even playable. You have to download a patch as soon as you bring it home.
I could go on, but I think I've made the point that there's definately good reasons for owning both.
flavor flavio i agree with you...
n'

Anyway, why would I want to suffer playing games at 640x480 on a 32" Tv, I'd much rather games at 1024x768 on my 17" Monitor, and anyway, if i did want to play games at 640x480 (which i certanly don't) on a 32" Screen i'd just use the Tv - out option on my graphics card.

Will ps2 suck, Will ps2 eatsh*t,Will ps2 lick ***,Will ps2 be gay, i beleive all of these are yes. the ps2 is already outdated. also games on the pc are designed to be ran on many diferent specs not just the one (psx/ps2) so games will be harder to design on pc because it has a more varied syspec !

You like to hone in on one difference like resolution, you don't look at the overall advantages and disadvantages that I addressed.
You should definately have BOTH if you're a hardcore gamer.
Try not to think close-mindedly like "PC is better because you can type a report too", I could simply say "console is better because you can play lightgun games" and that wouldn't be a good arguement would it? Like I said, BOTH.
