    Age of Empires II - why do I get kicked out?

    Whether I have the CD in or out the game commences and then at no predetermined time just boots me out straight back to the main windows screen.

    System used is PII 450
    Windows 98
    128MB RAM
    Onboard intel graphics card

    That wouldn't be an Intel I740 based video card would it?
    Anyway, try changing your monitors refresh rate to adaptor default..
    Don't know how? Just ask..
