is it the moniter,vid card or software?

i changed my ext dsl to an internal.it is
great and had no problems for 2 weeks.(ext USB modem was a big pain) i play Unreal T mostly on the internet.
1-the other day, i get the video crossbars or a total blackout crash.reboot, same thing.safe mode won't fix it.
2-i put in my old 8 meg matrox card. runs on the internet while gaming.bad/low resolution
hard to compete.
3-i take my voodoo3 card back and exchange for a new one.(old one only 2 months old)
same problem.
4-HERE IS MY QUESTION?
5-could my 5 year old moniter(no problems ever with it)not like the 3d acceleration
of the voodoo3 card and is going out finally?

It's not your monitor.

Most likely your internal DSL modem is conflicting with your video card. Make sure they aren't sharing the same IRQ.
