Wow, really dustin off the old cobwebs here.

First commercial games: probably Starfox and Jumpman on C-64 (circa 1982).

First game on a computer that was mine: Hangman. I wrote it in basic to play on my Sinclair ZX81 with 16k of memory and a casette recorder for storage (circa 1980). Hey duckman..think you can overclock that one.

But the first games I played on any computer were "Lunar Lander" on a DEC mini and a multiplayer game called "Star Trek" on a Honeywell mainframe (both circa 1979). The DEC had a keyboard and printer only, no screen. What you typed printed out on the printer. The Honeywell had 128k and used tickertape as the mechanism for storage.

Mechwarrior and Xwing were the first games I could not stop playing. Been hooked eversince.

wolfenstein!... Doom... TombRaider...Half-Life...Deus EX. all great games that sucked me in totally in their own time frame, but you have to back before the PC for my first games.... Spectrum & BBC B...... yes I'm old

Another favorite game but also one of the most frustrating to play was Kings Quest 7, following that guy around in the desert and then really pi$$ing him off by giving him a bowl of salt water, navigating the well and the scorpion and putting up with the womans pleading to find her daughter, happy gaming memories. DD.

It was Wolfenstein 3D, running on the 386 of one of my friends. Damn, he had the top gaming machine: 256 colors video and a SoundBlaster Pro.It was something like 7 or 8 years ago...Aaaaaaaah Nostalgia!

Going back to the C64, it had to be BoulderDash. That game (and all the clones) was addictive.

Or going back even further to the A2600, Defender. I used to spend hours at a time playing that. Dunno why, these days I get bored with it almost immediately.

King's Quest I was one of my first games, too. It was like directing a stick figure around the screen. Graphics were horrible, but the plot and story wasn't too bad.

Tetris was always a favorite.........

The DreameR: i remember prince of persia, o have 1 and 2 for PC. I have finished them both too.

I remember a little cheat for prince 1, i remember something like starting the game like this "prince -MEGAHIT", or something like that.....

BTW, i didn't cheat when i first finished the game, i just cheat after the first time.
