Housen, you think we can try out something simalar to the hot deals forum at Anandtech? I find that list rocks from time to time, but I do not really like Anandtech and would like to see it here.

I take it the lack of an answer means no?

Actually the lack of answer means we try to answer feedback and suggestions as quickly as possible, but occasionally miss things or get swamped with other things .

That said, though... I am a little wary about this idea... I am concerned that two things will happen: 1) People will feel that not only the poster, but we as the site hosting the forum, have recommended a place that might have low prices but be less than reputable... and so feel resentful; and 2) We'll get an influx of spammers from the little mom and pop places selling stuff.

I'll think about it and discuss it with the others; but my gut reaction is to say no.

but if the deals are posted by users, then HWC is not responsible in any way

when I buy something on the web, I like to get other recommendations so I can make a wise choice

I agree, I have yet to see any mom's and pops stores at the other sites. Also thanks to the hot deals forum and agnforums.com, I got my Epson 860 printer for $40+shipping at Onvia. Not to mention alot of other stuff.
