What about CPU overhead as opposed to SCSI?
Do you know if Evergreen manufactures their own firewire card or is it repackaged with their name on it? Do you know if it will work on the BeOS as a few companies such as Mediapede and Adamation have developed fast DV editing suites on that platform.

The tests that Hardware central did dont seem to show the CPU usage info. the cpu tests that i ran come in around 4-7%. about the same as any other modern IDE drive.
