email advice on topics

I know email notification is available for replies when posting new topics, but how about the option for email notification for posts on topics that were started by someone else or when replying to posts.

This would be handy for keeping up to date on topics of interest.

that's a great idea. They're supposedly upgrading this forum, so we'll have to see when it comes out.

I've been wanting something like that for quite some time now. That would be great if it were available in the new version they plan to impliment

Yes,ris but how about being notified only on the first post after the last reading. i.e. only one email regardless of the number of replies until the topic was read again.
That would let you know there had been at least one response or more without overloading the inbox.
