What I would really like to do is to have an election program so that when it comes time to vote on mods or other official site business we could all vote secretly and only once as in a political election.
I would prefer it if we could have it so anyone could be voted for and the top vote getter wins.
I think this would be the fairest way to organize our elections around here.
We could have a week or so of nominations and campaigning and then maybe a three day election period so every one could participate.
I also asked this in the Software forum...
Does anyone have any experience with a program or any ideas on how this could be done?
The only requirements I can think of is to allow only one vote per member and for it to be a completely open candidacy so that anyone could recieve a vote.
We will just have to trust the members that post as more than one person to only vote once unless there is some way around that?
I don't see the point in open candidacy. The mods-to-be should be nominated. There is no point in voting for someone that doesn't want to be mod. You should be able to nominate yourself, but I see that as the only option.

I don’t know how I got here… I was only looking for the washroom.
I'll support this. It seems well organized, but has caught less attention. Have you considered transferring this or placing an acknowledgement post in Off-Topics Forum? Some people might listen.
