New Member Status Scheme

What do we think about maybe even reserving the Wizard category as an elected category.
Say by a majority of the Gurus at first and then by a majority of the Wizards once the category is large enough.
That way it could be a position of honor based on a person being a true computer wizard and not just a prolific poster.

Just a thought.

how about if after 500 posts or so, we can change to whatever status we want to be called, like going from jr member(1) to member(30) to a choice of either senior member(500 default) or whatever else we want - old dog, guru, funkmaster, whatever. after 500 posts, i believe members will be responsible enough to choose their title within reason.

I like the idea of having a class of memebers that is voted to be "experts" or "gurus" or something like that, something that is decided not on the # of posts alone.

30 - Byte
100 - Kilo Byte
500 - Mega Byte
1000 - Giga Byte
2000 - Terra Byte
4000 - You choose your own title for reaching this amount. I mean it is something not any one will reach and there for he must be awarded his own title he/she chooses.

Then there can allso be diff. stuff diff. ranks can do. Like 30 posts can only acces some of the smiling faces where as 500 can access all. 1000 and up should be able to have some other feature.
