Temp goes down under load? Normal?

I have noticed that my cpu temp as reported by ASUS Probe v2.12.07 goes DOWN after playing games, or under a load. I just ran Prime95 for an hour, and checked the temp, and it was at 99 degrees F, but when I turned it off, and let the system idle, it came up to 105. It was around 105 before Prime95 as well.

Is this normal? I believe my fans are running at a constant speed.

Do you know how accurate Asus Probe is? I thought it was bizarre too.

try motherboard monitor, but i think that the reports might not differ, since it gets its info from the hardware as well.

I have heard of propblems with their probe. What does the sensor under the CPU report? Use a program like MotherBoard monitor 5.xx or the VIA Hardware Monitor that likely shipped with your board. These will give you a CPU and chipset temp. It is not 100% accurate, but it is close enough for most.
