Anyone overclocking / using the Soltek SL-75DRV4

This sounds like a decent board for the money. Is anyone here overclocking with it? How does it perform? What about the SL-75DRV5 with KT333 chipset? I'm looking for a nice mobo for a spare system I have and thought these looked like good boards for the money. Also, the system plan is to have a nice window and blue cathode light. Thought the "Purple Ray" version looked cool also!!!



What about the "Red Storm" overclocking? Does it work well? And the ABS (anti-burn shield) on the SL-75DRV5 looks interesting as well.

What do you guys think?

I have the mobo mentioned in my signature, and a DRV2. They both have the Red Storm overclocking and Anti-Burn Shield features. I know that the Red Storm overclocking thing is pretty much made for o/c beginners. It's not really useful in my opinion, and according to some reviews, although it might work to find the highest FSB that your system can handle while remaining stable (it just o/c the FSB until the system is unstable, then sets it a little lower and restarts the computer.)

The Anti-Burn Shield thing, I think all that is is the ability to tell the motherboard to shut down the computer at x degrees and shut down if the fan goes below x rpms. You can set warning speeds to.

Soltek boards are great overclockers. On this system I got my 1GHz ARGA Athlon to 1.2GHz quite easily. Yes, ARGA.
I haven't tried overclocking the DRV2 but it was declared the overclocking king by reviews and I do plan to o/c it in the near future since the system temps are low enough.

Go with Soltek, they won't let you down.

I am also very interested in the SL-75DRV5. I have heard nothing but positive things about Soltek boards through reviews and this forum.

I am also looking at the new soltek board, but it have USB 2.0 or 6 PCI slots, or sound card. Its definitely only made to overclock! Any thoughts please let us know.
