    What's with mem prices?

Actually, why is everyone saying that the DDR prices are outrageous? you can get 256meg stick of pc2100 for less than $100.

I think that's pretty damn good. I remember back when a 64 meg stick ran up to $150 for pc100.

Am I missing something or are times changing so fast that even a 19 year old can say "I can remember back when."

    Prices seem reasonable to me.

I can get a 512 meg DDR Registered ECC (Crucial) for $147.19 delivered.

I am curious though, why Registered ECC is cheaper than Unbuffered ECC?.

Er...everyone is complaining because before christmas pc133 was down to like $35 at crucial for 256 cas2. My friend bought a stick with my advice...I went back the next week and they were 60...so i said screw it...384 is plenty for now.

BTW...ddr prices were about the same as sdr at the time...and still are pretty close. Granted it's a bunch cheaper than it was 2 years ago...it was really cheep not long ago...

    During Thanksgiving, 256M PC2100 = $45.
    Right before Chrismas, 256M PC2100 = $65
    Now, 256M PC2100 = $102.
