I was @ my friends house last night/this morning trying to unlock his XP1800+
All was going fine till we started applying the conductive paint. This being the first time we have done this, after masking the first connector on the L1, the paint run under the scotch tape.
Attempt 2 !!! Finally managing to stop the running under the tape, the problem arises that as you go along masking, the scotch tape is pulling the paint off the previous connectors.
Basically, is there a better tape to use?? Any other hints would be cool.
I think the unlock has to be done, boring if you can’t get your hands dirty and blow a few CPU in the process
Anyone have some FSB figures for me to try on my signature setup. Never over clocked a CPU before.
Cheers in advance

Well, I have been using Clear box tape, after my own bad experience with scotch tape.
What are you using to close the gaps? If it's a silver kinda lacquer that dries, just wait till it dries before you put the tape on. Give at least 5 minutes before you pull the tape off.
Other than that, the only thing to watch out for I guess is if you scrape off the excess gap-filler, be careful not to scratch the chip itself.
Oh, and I would reccomend clear nail polish to superglue for closing the gaps, superglue is hard as hell to get off, but nailpolish remover works much better on nailpolish... go figure.
Hope this helps you man!
Oh and on the FSB settings, shoot for 145 at least. I've done 155, but very unstable, same chip different board.

I've not done an xp, but have done some delitace airbrushing in the past, has anyone tried frisk? stuff sold in art shops, comes in sheets/on rolls and is like tape, but designed to be painted over then removed i.e. making masks, which is basically what we are doing here.
