Xp 1700+ Detailed instructions on unlocking mutiplier?
Just ordered this cpu and want to unlock it.
I had no problems with my T-bird 800 but have heard that the xp's are harder to unlock. Any help would be great!

www.tomshardware.com Has a really good article. A word of advice (if you'll take it from someone who has failed at this) do NOT use superglue to fill the wells. Use nailpolish remover. Do NOT use cheap scotch tape, I found big clear box tape works really well. And do NOT use a copper based window defogger kit or Solder weld.
I hope that by letting you know what didn't work for me, You can choose things that will work for you. Good luck! Steady hands, a good eye, and a magnifying glass are all bonuses.

Woohoo, 14th person to solve the 4D rubik's cube...ever! http://www.superliminal.com/cube/cube.htm
Watch me solve a regular cube in 24.2 seconds at www.rubiks.dk videolist, Daniel Hayes!
I used clear nailpolish to fill the wells, tape, and silver conductive paint... 1st time it didnīt work so everything comes right of with nailpolish remover, 2nd time I had better luck!

all i gotta say, the 'wells' are conductive, so watch and make sure to hacve them coneverd properly with whatever yoo use to siloate them. Safe overlcoking man!
All I can say is that it was a real pain in the you know what. Even with a magnifying glass, my eyes aren't that good for this @#$%!. Took me a while, but I finally got it right...
