Can this be done ?

I want to test my PC system out of the case, I want to power up my 300 W ATX PSU, which does not have an external on/off switch, while it is connected to the motherboard, can anyone point me in the direction of a website that contains details as to how I can connect an inline on/off switch on the wiring of my PSU ?

Why not I ran my PIII tualatin for two weeks before I put it into the case

Basically all you have to do is connect a wire to each of the pins of the power header on the mobo, touching the ends of the two wires for a moment simulates pressing the power button. Instant "ON" switch

EDIT: if you connect a default-off pulse switch to the two wire ends, you'll have a nice "button" to press, just like the power button on the case.

You can pull the switch out of the case and plug it into the mobo using the normal connection.

I did this long ago, when mobos didn't have power-on-keyboard, and I wanted to be able to turn my computer on from the desk.
