    JUST ONE OVERCLOCKING QUESTION PLEASE

    Hi people,
All that i want to know is if i do that pencil trick to overclock my pc can i ever undo it after i've did it,it's just that i've still got 4 years left on my guarantee,so if i can undo it well that will be really great but if i can't i'll just have to put up with this really slow Duron 700mhz or unless you guy's have some pointers for me to speed thing's up? well i have put the FSB up to 115 and that takes it up to 805mhz but even doing that i can't even see a change in speed or any change in the benchmarks that i run,i've got a good G force2 video card and that's fine, well thanx guy's for your help and advice.

You draw in the line with a pencil. You can just erase it again.

The point in using the pencil is so you don't have to solder it. How could soldering be easier than drawing a small line with a pencil? I don't understand why you think it's too risky, that's all.

    Because PENCIL wears off.

I've heard of people having success with soder pens and rear windshield defogger repair kits.

No, that makes pencil annoying. If the marks rub off, your chip will revert to it's factory speed until you open up the PC and re-draw the lines. How often depends on a slew of factors, but I've heard people say from a couple weeks to months.

I wouldnt try and solder them, but if you want something more permanent than a pencil then get some conductive paint- the kind used to repair rear windows demisters on cars- works a treat!
