    2x52 watt peltiers

    what can I do with these?

    I was thinking of making a cool air tunnel.

    If I got a square metal pipe, and put the peltiers on top of it, then got a very small, very slow fan sucking air through it, would the air coming out be reasonably cool?

    Zing doesn't work so I'm going to draw a text diagram:

    Code:
             [=======]  <- YS-tech fan
             |_|_|_|_|  <- FOP38 style heatsink
             ____ ____   <- pelts 1 and 2
              ________
             [________]  <- Pipe
    The pipe would be as wide as the pelts, yet would be about 1cm in height.

    It's a sort of mini air con unit, it would then take cool air to the CPU fan via a tube.

    The airflow would be slow, but will bring cooler than ambient air to the cpu.

    So, does anyone know if it will work?

    It will work alright. But I doubt it'll work well Remember that the heatsink needs a lot of airflow to work well, and if it isn't getting enough air from that tunnel it'll just take air from elsewhere (which will be hotter due to the heat the peltiers put out).

    Forget about using only the coolingtube to cool the cpu too. If you crank up the airflow it might work, but then the air isn't cooled as much before it reaches the cpu
