    A FISHY new benchmark....

    here'sa silly 3d fish aquarium benchmarking thingummy for you to try and post results:

    doubleclick on the file
    press space
    enter TESTFISH as a password (press return)
    click done

    once you have 3 fish swimming see what frame rate you get:

    pressing function keys changes screen resolution:

    at 1024*768 i get
    180fps

    dont see how its a "benchmark" as such- seen it before, lot better than the windaz one- as far as fishy screensavers go that is!

    As I can't download that link I take it this is a version of the first Serenescreen Saver by Jim Sachs, "The Aquarium"?



    If so the author plans another two, the next being a Butterfly garden.

    I have the full 7 fish version, but get 380fps @ 1024x768 with three fish for what it's worth.

    It is really just a screen saver, but is nice desktop eye candy. Can't see it being silly however, as it beats the heart ache of trying to own real Tropical Marine fish I can tell you.

    yeah I know it's only a screen saver, but I like anything really that has a fps counter on it

    so Deckerd what kinda system have you got at the moment?

    Do you know where to get some more meaty games benchmarks?
    like for example
    aquamark?
    dronez?
    all the stuff that tomshardware uses?
