HMMM, My case is very fooked at the moment and i couldn't find a wired jumper so to turn my machine on I just short the power on jumper out with a metal object to hand (in this case the end of a parker pen)

My question being are the sparks as bad as they look...they don't look very healthy?

.....You shouldn't see any sparks at all on that kind of jumper.
