Depends on your setup, when I ran the alpha, I Always drew the air off the sink, and was rewarded with a temp about 2 degrees cooler. Also, my theory is this= why blow Hot air down on the system chipset/ board, when you can pull the heat off the sink, and out in the open, where an exhaust fan can freely draw the Hot air outta the case.

Help me get this Boot outta my azz!!!!
Yay Big Lar, that's what I'd say too. Some people might argue that the motherboard chipset and (god forbid) ram heat up the air before it's sucked onto the heatsink, but really - how much of a difference can it make ? The idea of cooling the cpu and then completely getting rid of the air is a much more viable to me.
Terry : did you buy that Alpha from 3dfxcool?
I ask because I know they've suggested to set the fans blowing onto the heatsink instead of sucking(which is what the alpha was designed for)
I also got 2 of the Sunon Green Label 26CFM fans with it. I tried a Delta 38 before on my old 750 Flipchip [on a slotket] which had a Alpha PEP66 [had that one sucking]... but it was too damn loud.
It does work well blowing...28c [BIOS reading] on a P3 1ghz/100mhz FSB chip I just got. On a Soyo 6BA+4 board it is running 1150mhz with the voltage bumped up 5%.
Just wondering if the fans were sucking if it would do any better.

I agree. Sucking seems to keep the CPU about 2 degrees cooler. 600R, I'm doing that right now: I built a cardboard duct that funnels the air to another Delta that is sucking the air out of the case. Keeps the system temp about 73F and the CPU at 90F.
Blow on the PAL?? No way! The shroud is designed so that the fan should be sucking. If you check the ALPHA website, they reccomend that you leave it sucking
