A quieter PC...

I'm trying to get my system (which I put together) much quieter to do some recording with a sensitive condenser mic. I bought a quiet power supply made by Enermax that helped, but there's still a steady 'whooosh and whir' from , I presume , the cpu fan and the spinning of my 2 hard drives and maybe the cdrom drive(?). Anyways, I have a Golden Orb cpu fan on a Celeron 566 flip chip in a sloket adapter. What would be a quieter way to cool the cpu? , and would those drive sleeves cut the spin noise of the drives alot? I'd like to get the steady noise level down where it's just barely audible, but don't know if that's gonna happen
