GlobalWin Fop38 w/ 36cfm fan from Tt Volcano II

Hey guyz....I want to get a new cpu cooler...this will be my third one if I order. I currently have a Thermaltake Volcano II. The performance aint that great. My mobo temps is about 36cel and my cpu temp on full load is 50cel! I want to be around 40Cel...even lower if possible.

There's great reviews with the Fop38 using a 37cfm Delta fan. But that fan is loud as heck...and since the volcano II's fan is 36cfm at about 30dba(i think), it should work find, right?

What do you guyz think?

First try to take the side off of your case and see what heppens to the temp if it cools down a whole lot then you need better case cooling. Another thing you neeed to do is the mobo mod thing i was talking about here is a link to the post:

this should work with both A7V and the A7V133

about that link...that page says it might not make my system stable...did u try this urself and did ur system run stable?

I have two A7Vs one is mine (see sig) the other is my brothers with a T-bird 1gig@1.2 and a third is my uncles his is a A7V133 they all have to mod and they are all just as stable as when they didnt.

As far as the fans are concerned, can I swap the two? can I use the volcano fan on the fop38?

btw...what was your temp change when you change the bios settings from that link?

O-M-G!!!!

It worked...I changed the Bios settings from that link and now my cpu temp is down to 41Cel/105F !!!! This is awesome! Oh wait...wait a minute..it just dropped another degree! 40Cel baby! wooohooo! I shoulda done this 2 weeks ago when I first read about it...I was too scared that it might break my one month old pc...heheheh
