I am oc to 523Mhz and it is stable as rock
cpu temp 30c/86f
cpu voltage 2.6
windows98plus
epox mvp3gm mobo
pc100 sdram
but i had to use a watercooler I made it myself but if i was going to do it again or thinking of doing it i would use k63 insded
a frend has a k63 450 it fly,s when oc with my water system deffinitly seems faster than mine oc hope this helps
I am running my K6-2/450 @504Mhz,(4.5x112),2.8V;on an FIC VA-503+ MB.
I used to have a 350 which was easy to o/c to 448/450,but I have found the 450 to be an absolute #*!#! to overclock.
To cut a (to long) story down,it all came mainly down to cooling,(cover off,themal- paste, huge fan/heatsink combo and I put a large chassy fan 2" in front of the cpu fan,(this really helped).Buggered if I could run at any less than 2.8 Volts & buggered if I could bothered making a water cooler.(Don't have to )!!!
CYA.....
I too have a K6-2 450@504 2.8 volts,... Temp is 38.c with 3 case fans, a blower fan blowing under the mb where the chip is, and thermal goop. I was really unconfortable with the 2.8 core voltage at first, but its been fine now for a month.. I hope it holds up untill the .18 micron K6+'s hit the shelves...
Thanks guy's!!! Sounds like I can break 500Mhz, which is what I'm after. Anymore info would be appreciated. I'm gonna start putting things together this weekend.... hopefully all goes smooth. Thanks again!!!

from 2.2v to 2.8v is crazy. I wouldn't risk it. I have a k6-2 450 too. It didn't work when I OC'd it too 500@2.3v, so I just stopped it there. but my k6-2 350 worked fine going to 400@2.3 volts
I used to have a 450@550(110x5.5) on 2.4v using a GOrb. I'll also say that it did 578 (105x5.5) stable on 2.5v, but ran a little hot than I would like
Virtally all will hit 500MHz most will do up to 525MHz.

Hah, Hah!!! Man, this thread is old!
My 450 made it to 500 with 2.8v, but I sold it about 3 month's ago! It is still running great at 450mhz now on a Gigabyte mobo retired to surfing w/AOL and playing a retired couple gambling games!
LOL, the 2.9v 500 is running good on the K6XV3+ DFI mobo. It's running cool also due to (4) 80mm Sunon HO fans blowhole style! Sooner or later the 2.9v is gonna kill it, but I'm having fun seeing how long it last! I may bump it to 3.0v and see what happens!
