computer restarts when overclocking?

I just resently purchased a cusl2-c and i am able to get my p3-700 cbo to 1082 maybe even higher, but when the computer begins to laod windows it will restart. It will keep doing this until i stop it.

think maybe i have a bad power supply??

everyonce in awhile i will get a bsod

My Duron does the same thing. At 850 it never does this, at 900 it will do it once a week, at 950 it will do it about 1 in 3 times. It is 100% stable once it gets into Windows though. I tracked it down to the genaric 250w PS. I am too cheap to replace it right now so I keep my system at 900Mhz.

Did you increase the power to the processor? How about the I/O. Each od these (if available) will be in BIOS.

Yeah i upped the voltage to 1.95 and it does post no errors, it just restarts.
