    Question

    I've heard phrases like "my cpu is running at 970 now, i'm gonna leave it like this for a few days and then try 1 gig...".
    What's this all about? Do you have to leave the cpu at a speed and then try higher to have better succes or what?

    What they are hoping for is a 'burn-in' effect. Some people have found that as they 'break-in' their CPU, they can run them at higher clock speed or lower voltage (or a combination of both) that they could not initially.
