What the best system you've seen for either manually turning off fans and/or having them on a thermostat.
My addtronics case has 5 case fans, slot fan, and 2 YS tech fans on my alpha.
The hum of these fans is driving me nuts!

Lots of people make their own,and use a cdrom slot, and make a set of buttons knobs ect...
Radio shack has many of these, should be around $10-$20 for the whole project.
I would if I were you, keep one intake and one exaust all the time, and when you go into a game or cpu intensive program ,then flip the JET ENGINE start up buttons.
Also monitor your temps, make sure that you need all those fans,if it makes no difference with 2 or 4 fans, get rid of 2 of them.
Also you may modify the power supply to draw more air from the case, after all this fan is on,and wont be turned off,so use it more effectively.
That's some little box Maxout, lots of features and it looks cool too. $99 bucks vs jet engine sounds in my room??? That's a tough one........
I suspect I'll probably got with some switches like Deanril said unless its a good Christimas.
Thanks
