You could either get some from www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk (just like TonForty says). Not a bad site, and they allow things to be posted by first class mail, which should save some money. If you can't be bothered to wait, I got mine from www.overclockers.co.uk - excellent site, with items under £30 shipped Special Delivery for about £5 (as oppossed to the £1.20 of first class). I made my order on Thursday evening and it got to me on Saturday (didn't even know they did deliveries then!!!)

So how good is this Arctic silver paste? I just ordered some with my global win heatsink/fan for my thunderbird and want to know what I can expect. How much exactly should I put on my thunderbird?

What is cool about www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk is that they sell teeny weenie little heat-sinks. Haven't noticed anywhere else in the UK that sells them. Very cool indeed - how's about some thermal Epoxy to go with those Sam? Also would have actually ordered from them if they had it in stock (sorry, I'm kinda impatient though).

Get a clean new stanley razor blade. Then apply the paste to the bottom of the heatsink in a thin line, just to the edge of the area which will touch the core. Then get your stanley blade and drag it across the heatsink to spread the paste. This will give you a nice thin layer which will give you an optimal heat transfer. Now apply the heatsink to the cpu, being carefull not to move it about too much, or the paste will be uneven

Do I only apply it to the middle area of the heatsink which will come in contact with the core of the cpu? How about applying it on the cpu core directly? Thanks for the suggestions.

We've been advised that epoxy is baddddddd, okkkkkkkayyyyyy (in counsellor mackay style), but we do sell thermal `frag` tape which is great for sticking heatsinks on with.
