Cassing fan does not go off in suspend mode.

I used to have a comapq EN series Pentium machine. What I really like about the amchine is the power saving feature. When you activate the suspend mode, everything, including the power supply fan goes off. It is so effective that you can't tell whether the machine if powered off or in suspend mode. The only clue was a blinking power button when in suspend mode.

Since then, I have built a couple of PCs but no matter how hard I try, I can never get the power supply fan to go off in suspend mode. My latest mobo is the Abit KT7-raid but still no luck.

Could anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Check to see if you've enabled Energy Saving/Power Management in the BIOS settings.

yes, you have cheap electricity or are willing to blow money on it, then . My computer doesn't usually wake up from suspend anyway though... s_klass, is that your seti name? what is your HWC rank?
